The team and I met early one Saturday morning in Dover and made the 2.5 hour trip to a beautiful northern part of New Hampshire called Chatham, where our next renovation would happen! We were all super excited because we were heading to a WOLF REFUGE! It’s not every day that we get to help such a unique rescue. JB and I drove together in my car, while Mike and John had to stick close to Simon and his girlfriend, Liz, as they drove their 1980s van/camper/Willie Nelson mobile up to the renovation at the Loki Clan Wolf Refuge. This van had it all – bathroom, shower, kitchen, bed – even dice hanging from the rear view mirror! Just like living back in 1983!
We got to the rescue and immediately heard nearly 65 wolf-dogs howling away – almost like they were greeting us! We were taken back by the beauty of the wolves and the land, but we could see that the volunteers were in great need of our help to bring this rescue back for its tough past and help provide an uplifting rebirth!
